“Beep” Bob Buhrig, CFSP
Bob Buhrig, or “BeepBob” as he is known, is well-versed in funeral service having worked as a funeral director and embalmer and in all aspects of the profession for many years. Bob has significant experience consulting and training funeral professionals on financial, technology, marketing, branding, clinical, OSHA, succession planning and other business topics which has exposed him to a wide variety of ideas and situations. He is an independent funeral service/business consultant and a professional speaker to both funeral professionals and the public.
Bob is the Principal of the BeepBob & Associates Consulting Group; a Certified Funeral Service Practitioner; a Licensed Funeral Director/Embalmer; a Certified Cremation Specialist; a Certified Funeral Celebrant; a Licensed Life Insurance and Annuity Agent; a Faculty Member and the Director of Education for Professional Programing; an Ambassador and Lifetime Member of the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice; a former Member of the American Society of Embalmers; a former Adjunct Faculty Member and Clinical Embalming Instructor at the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science; a former Faculty Member of the Dodge Institute for Advanced Mortuary Studies; a former Member of the Dodge Research and Testing Committee; and a former Dodge Representative.
Bob holds degrees with high honors in Business Administration, Management and Finance from Robert Morris University as well as a degree with high honors in Funeral Service Management from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. He has enjoyed membership in numerous funeral service organizations over the years where he has served in a variety of positions.
John P. “Jack” Adams, CFSP
Jack Adams is a fourth generation funeral director and embalmer. He has over 40 years experience in funeral service and is considered one of the world’s foremost embalming authorities. He has presented embalming seminars throughout the United
States, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. It is estimated that Jack has embalmed well in excess of 25,000 human remains.
Jack is a member of the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice and has earned his Funeral Service Professional certifi cation. He is also a faculty member of The Dodge Institute Seminars, a member of the Dodge Research and Development Staff, and a regular contributing author to The Dodge Magazine. In addition, he represents The Dodge Company in Northern Illinois.
Jack is a 1963 graduate of Worsham College of Mortuary Science and along with working for The Dodge Company in Northern Illinois as a sales representative, he is an Embalming Lab Instructor at Worsham College.
Todd W. Van Beck, CFSP
Todd W. Van Beck is one of the best known and most well regarded educators, writers and speakers in the funeral profession. His book, “Winning Ways,” and his frequent articles illustrate Todd’s seemingly limitless ability to come up with simple yet innovative ways to improve a funeral home and his knack for explaining good business practices in a down-to-earth, step-bystep way.
Todd has written over 200 articles and 65 books and manuals covering every possible topic of interest to funeral directors, cemeterians and clergy. His extensive training and experience spans over 35 years at every level of the funeral and cemetery profession and the church. Todd has studied the theory of quality control under Dr. W. Edwards Deming and has applied those principals to the funeral and cemetery profession. Now, as a specialist in the “Deming” management system, he offers seminars catered to your needs based on these theories.
